Some of My Thoughts about Legal, Healthy, Exhibitionism

I would like to write some of my thoughts, feelings and ideas about certain forms of exhibitionism. Not the type of exhibitionism that is illegal and classified as being mentally ill behavior. What I have in mind is sharing my thoughts about the milder, healthy, LEGAL forms of exhibitionism that I am sure most of us have noticed and experienced in our lives at one time or another. The kind of exhibitionism that is displayed when healthy, law abiding people are in the mood for attracting the attention of others to their bodies-In particular when they are naked, and desire to be seen by others when they are in the mood for being looked at when they are in the nude. I am not talking about sleazy, perverted flashers that get-off by opening up their trench coats and exposing their genitals in public places to children and adults and often masturbate in front of them for some twisted personal gratification that I do not approve of, understand, or enjoy thinking or writing about. That is criminal, mentally ill behavior. I don't encourage or approve of any such behavior or intention of performing such twisted deeds. I am talking about the type of exhibitionism, or flaunting of oneself, or showing-off, or whatever else one might choose to call it. For the sake of simplicity, I will refer to it as legal, healthy exhibitionism. You can call it whatever you want.

I am sure a good number of us have experienced this exhibitionist phenomenon at one time or another when we were growing up and in our adult life. I am sure this began with many people when one or more family members purposely undressed and or walked around the house in the nude when they knew perfectly well that other members of the family were watching them. Just remember back in pre-school or elementary school when other classmates would be giggling about seeing their Mommy's "Boobies" and her Rug, Muff, Brush, Puss, or various other names that were used to describe her pubic area. Much of the time the parent seemed to enjoy the attention and curiosity, attention, and comments that their children would make when looking at their nude bodies. I would guess this is even more common among youngsters that were curious about the reactions and comments that they would get from their siblings when they paraded around the home in their Birthday suite. During the pre-puberty years of childhood this kind of behavior is more of a game and source of amusement than it is as a way to turn themselves on and hopefully arouse the attention, hormones, and sexual interest in other they are putting on a show for when they are older and hormone laden.

As these children begin going through puberty, become teenagers, their sex hormones begin to kick-in, and their genitals begin to throb with sexual desire. The idea, desire for, and act of displaying exhibitionistic behavior takes on a new meaning for them and has a much different motivational factor than the silly novelty of their younger, pre-adolescent days. Exhibitionism (the particular forms of legal, healthy, exhibitionism that I am talking about in this article) has a much different meaning and purpose in the feelings and motives of the adolescent and adult person's life and lifestyles. During and after puberty, the motives and uses of exhibitionism become much more meaningful and can be very powerful in feelings and effects on others as well as on the person that performs this behavior themselves.

To me, the mild, healthy form of exhibitionism that I am dwelling on in this article is a rather fascinating phenomena that can have so many various meanings, interpretations, motives, and effects on various people. Many people practice this type of exhibitionism to get a thrill or a rush from it. Others do it to attempt to seduce others. Others do it to manipulate or control others. Others do it to shock others. It is done to experiment. Others do it to share a part of themselves with others. People do it to communicate a conscious or subconscious message to others. To express a side of oneself. People do it for a dare. People do it to see how others will react. To keep from being ignored. People do it to protest rigid rules. People do it as a way of rewarding someone. Apologizing or making something up to someone. It is done to tease others. To mentally and hormonally torture others. It is done to test others. It is done to confront others. It is done to enlighten others. To teach others. To disarm others. To talk someone out of something, change their mind, persuasion. To distract. To brighten up the day. To make people laugh. To be sarcastic. To get someone's undivided attention. To compete with someone else. It can be done when one feels jealousy for another. To make others jealous of them. To challenge people. To dominate. To submit (submission). For a type of power. Excitement. To Unite (Unify) a family or group. To disarm. Pacify. Give oneself a feeling of freedom. To make a point. Teach a lesson. To enlighten. To express trust. To try to make someone feel special. To follow an instinct. To get in touch with a part of one's submerged feelings. To play games. To liberate ones feelings. To act out inner fantasies and hopefully make them come true. I can go on and on.

The sight of a nude body that is purposely shown and or flaunted by the person that is in the nude to another onlooker, and or to many others, can be hypnotic. Mesmerizing. Unforgettable. Intimidating. Endearing. Stimulating. Enchanting. Relaxing. And so many other things, situations, and scenarios. There are so many things that I could say and write about this topic that would take me a long time to write a long, long, editorial or book in order to properly and completely give an all around description of what this phenomenon has and does.

For me, personally, the type of legal, healthy, exhibitionism that is covered and focused on in this section represents all of the motives and effects on people that I have mentioned in the previous paragraphs above, and much, much more. Personally, I find this topic and phenomena to be very fascinating and worthy of writing about. I can hardly write a complete hypothesis, and properly cover all of what I think about this entire subject in just one editorial. This is why I plan on writing and posting much more about this topic and give many individual detailed, in-depth, examples of, and individual stories about this topic. And I am always interested in reading new editorials with stories and accounts of legal, healthy, exhibitionism from those of you that would like to share your thoughts, feelings, stories, experiences, and fantasies about this rather interesting phenomena that is focused on in this section.
